Irving Consumer Products will invest in the installation of a third TAD (hot air penetration drying) paper machine at its mill in Macon, Georgia, US. Upon completion of the project, it is expected to increase its annual production capacity of premium tissue by 75,000t.
The project, which is expected to start up in 2027, will see Valmet supply a complete tissue production line, including a pulp preparation system.
The new line will be equipped with an Advantage ThruAir paper machine with an OptiFlo II TIS headbox, ThruAir dryer section, air system, and Advantage SoftReel winder.
Irving Consumer Products has previously commissioned two TAD paper machines supplied by Valmet at its Macon mill in 2019 and 2021.
